Door limit springs

What is the easiest way to install the springs for the door limiters? I have tried everything except removing the front fenders. Anyone done this? The spring seems way too big to fit between the door and the limiter arm. Will installing with the door closed help ?

Re: Cleveland pictures needed.

I'm not completely positive, but I think the 400's have a 429/460 bolt pattern for the bell housing. The 351 Cleve only come in Small Block bell size. I'm not sure at all about the 351M's, but they will all be later than 1975

Re: Cleveland pictures needed.

The In Take Manifold has no coolant passage to the radiator. Radiator return comes from the block.

Re: Best Ford 9 inch with disc brake set-up

If you have the tools, couldn't you use late model calipers off most anything and just fab some simple brackets to hold them on?

Re: Trans temp gauge

Thank you for reply Pops. I hadn't thought about mounting it in line. I'm not sure of the temp break down on the gauge face, it's an old VDO set I've had wasting away in a back cabnet. I knew I had it, I just couldn't put my hands on it. Sometimes I feel like a picker in my own shop.

Trans temp gauge

Anybody running one? what is the propper operating range? and where does it hook up to the trans? C4 to be exact. I have a 3500 stall, and a stand alone cooler for the trans, but I've always heard that it's good idea to have a gauge too. I've had the gauge for a while, but just now getting around pu...

Re: Gathering parts for a V8 swap

The Grenada front-end parts will work for disc brake conversion. I would however spend the money to get a proportioning valve. The one on the car might work, by why skimp there? If the Gernada has steel wheels, hang on to them, you'll need them. The disc brake hubs have a larger center hole. You won...

Re: Crites 1962/65 Comet-Falcon Sub-frame connectors

I've done sub frames, but I just bought a piece of 2x2 box and made them myself. Biggest thing is to cut the pan slowly so you don't get too much material cut out,, like I did. The other thing I have seen somewhere was the guy made a 90' flange with the floor pan so therer was more material to weld ...

Re: Pics if I did it right

Thank you Boss, I knew it looked better. I'm from a Beavercreek, Ohio. Just outside Dayton. Goose, My rails have some ruff spots too, I'm guessing I'll have to make them when the time comes. I made the rear lower quarters on the car from quarters I bought from a guy down in SC I think. Parts he sold...
