I'm smoking
My 144 only had 33K on it and runs like a champ. However, when it is warmed up it blows quite a bit of blue/gray smoke upon a restart and a constant lighter stream when accelerating. Is this normal? I know they are known for consuming oil but it seems like a lot. Someone mentioned that because of it...

Thanks everyone... I really appreciate it... Yeah, "thrift power"... All 90 horses of it... But I love it, certainly no burn outs, but it cruises along just fine.

Just sharing my 60
Hello all. I am quite thrilled with what I think is a fairly rare all original 60 with 33,556 miles.... So far. I drive it all around locally. Thought I'd share.

Leveling my 60
I have an all original 60 comet with 33K. It is awesome in my book and my intent is not to change anything.... EXCEPT 1 thing that bugs me. The front end sits higher than the rear. One guy said cut the front springs (really don't want to do that). Another said the rear shackles on the rear of the le...

Re: Wheel Rims
I have 2 spare 13 inch, 4 lug rims and could part with 1. They are from my 60 comet. Original owner bought them for snows. I plan to NOT drive it in snow. I'm in Massachusetts Where are you?

Carburetor question.
The carb and exhaust manifold on my 1960 was changed out. A Holley 1 barrel with automatic choke was put on with an exhaust manifold with no fitting for the auto choke tube, so the tube just hangs there. The previous owner manually backed off the auto choke so it stys open all the time. Car runs ok ...

Battery size
I would like to buy a reproduction battery for my 60. There are several sites that sell them for very specific makes and models. However, the 60 to 62 Comet and Falcon are difficult to find. One "expert" told me it is supposed to be 9 inches long by 6 3/4 wide. The Autolite Sta-ful for a 65 and up i...
