Re: What are these brakes???
This is all very educational! I've tried to scour the net to find someone who has done the following: (without success) My comet has the original power steering, which I want to keep. It has grenada brakes and booster etc. I see many articles/posts about converting manual 1964 steering to manual 196...

Re: What are these brakes???
That's weird I have to zoom out to 33% to see the engine picture in its entirety. Or right click on it and "open in new tab"
If the power steering is stock, I wonder what that means with regards to upgrading the steering to 65 mustang parts?

Just some more pics, one of the engine where you can see the brake booster, and some of the power steering components http://i.imgur.com/eZkDlvV.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hOwgHEB.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3d3fEwy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5BA1A7J.jpg Same question - what looks stock, what looks like it's not...

Re: What are these brakes???
Yep, those shorty outer tie rods are a telltale sign!! There are a couple docs/ sites with info, but basically all the parts except the center link (which Falconparts.com sells) are '65-'66 'Stang parts. The exception is if you have a steering box with 1-1/8" sector. Then you need a power steering ...

Re: What are these brakes???
A couple more pics of the steering gear that's on it now. Does it look like the stock parts? No idea if prior owner changed any other bits out when he did the Grenada swap http://i.imgur.com/xRzOk8s.jpg http://i.imgur.com/oUnww4N.jpg http://i.imgur.com/gTacdv6.jpg Anyone have a handy link for the pa...

Re: What are these brakes???
Grenada! Found this GREAT post on fordforumsonline: http://www.fordforumsonline.com/threads/granada-conversion-for-64-falcon.2714/ Looks just like my stuff only a whole lot nicer. Says he used a 1978. If I can get it close I suppose I can hunt online for calipers that look like that. So if I have Gr...

Re: What are these brakes???
It is a V8 car. 289, automatic, column shift. The brakes work fine. If I'm going to spend more $$ (which I am :D ) I will put a power rack & pinion in it. I've heard of different salvage yard parts that can be made to work, and of course I've checked out the new swap kits available online. That's al...

What are these brakes???
Bought this 1964 comet caliente convertible and it's got a front disc brake conversion - but the old fellow who owned the car and did the work has passed away. Wondering what these parts came from, if anyone recognizes them? He was an old car & junkyard guy, so they were scavenged off something. Som...
