Classic Performance Products

Anybody ever had any dealing with Classic Performance Products? Looks like they have some stuff that would be good to have, at a pretty decent price. Been reading and several folks have given bad reviews of customer service, but they have been older reviews. I trust y'alls opinion!

Re: 65 Comet 5 lug upgr

Best we can measure rear is same as far as spring mounts, 1/2" wider overall. I'll have to look as far as box, but I think it was gone. These cars have been in this yard for 20+ years and are picked pretty clean. It really surprised me that all the suspension stuff is even still there.

65 Comet 5 lug upgr

Found a 67 Mustang in a local boneyard that has the complete 5 lug C6oa spindles and 8" rear for $200 for it all. Best In can measure it all it should fit the 65 wagon. I'm sure someone here knows if it will fit before I jump and buy it. Remember, gonna be a daily driver for a teenage girl, not a pe...

Re: Howdy from Arkansas

That's what I'm afraid of. The sales pitch from someone that has never installed 1! Been bit a couple of times on other folks projects with the "oh, it fits perfectly" sales pitch! It is why I hate kits. Just got through with a "kit" to put a spike air breather on a bike. They told the guy it bolts ...

Re: Howdy from Arkansas

I see exactly what you are saying! Thanks for the pics! I like the thought of that unit, but I don't like the joint that close. Total Control Products has a r&p kit that says it can use factory column. It bolts on in place of the brace under engine. I wondered about it too. I'm a long way from that ...

Re: Howdy from Arkansas

I've been researching the disc brake thing. I've looked at the kit you are talking about. If I have to go with a kit, it is for sure in the lead. I'm really thinking power brakes and power steering because this is going to be driven by a little girl that is just beginning to drive. I was looking at ...

Re: Howdy from Arkansas

Ok, if you know where Wordon is.....I grew up on Green Tom Lake. Ask some of those kin if they know the guy that drives the red primer 66 F250 stepside or the big Blue v8 trike!! Oh, and I'll warn everybody now. I want to put these things on the car, but I hate kits!!! I prefer to use factory parts ...

Re: Howdy from Arkansas

I'm not too far. I'm in Bald Knob if you know that end of 67/167. Glad to find somebody on here so close! I'm mainly a truck guy myself. The wagon is what my daughter picked. Insisted it had to be a 65 Comet!!! Kid has taste I must say. I've got some used lenses found, just all WAY out of state. I'm...

Re: Howdy from Arkansas

As soon as I get a chance, I'll see if I can't figure it out. The car had factory air, auto, locking glove box, windshield washers, and interval wipers. Is a fairly loaded car. Got questions about the wipers, and looking for taillight lenses!!

Howdy from Arkansas

Hello. New to these cars. Hope I don't bug everybody to death. Got a 65 wagon for my daughter. From what I'm understanding rather optioned out.
