Hello i could use some advice on this fix. My 62 comet column shift has a lot of play from wear. The reverse lights come on for only a moment then go out. 13064 looks like the part number i need. Im trying to post a pic of the grill but a bit much for old school guy. I dont have the smaller trim rings either but i saw them in a catalog. Thanks for the reply

Ipaid for a recore will pick tomorrow and put car on the road this wknd snd c how hot she runs. If still hot i will try cuttingt the mounting support. Thanks for the tips. Helps to know not really alone on this project!

I found out today that they are the wrong ones. Hopefully i can get to return them. If anyone knows where to source headlamp doors for 62 comet please let me know. Im going to learn how to post pics next. Thanks mike.

There is no spacer. I ordered a low profile fan but still not enough room. I will look aroun for recorers i guess. Thanks again!

Hello comet fans Recently bought 1962 comet with grill but no headlamp doors. I bought a set of four on ebay but they dont seem to fit. They have outside mounting tabs that receive screws. They fit the lamp fine but dont mesh with the grill openings. I saw others for sale on ebay that have "inline" ...

Hiello comet fans What do you all do when you need a new radiator? I have a 62 comet eith 170 straight six. It came with ols two core that is 1 1/2" thik. I bought a new supposedly oe easy fit. Fittings locations ste fine but it is 2 1/2 " thick and fan hits it. Wont even go inbetween fan and bracke...

Wow sounds pretty in depth the car is nearly rust free and we rare keeping it in driver condition. Its actually my sons first car. We are sorting out some issues. Do you think a magnetic cowl cover would be a decent short term answer?thanks for the help!

Hi comet fans I need some help. I got 62 comet. Ive had a short time now and discovered a wet rag inside heater gate on driver side. Also rug rotted out underneath. I ran a snake up inside and it came out at the cowl. It could be seen looking down the cowl. So wster leaks from cowl down drivers side...
