Re: 64 from Saskatchewan (Canada!)

Thanks everybody! I broke my arm back in November, so I've had time recently to get my photobucket account up and running again. Haven't been able to get much done on the car though. Not being able to post pictures was what held me back from posting in the past. Everyone knows threads are worthless ...

Re: 1Gary

I agree with everyone else. No doubt the LS series are great motors, but then so are the Small block Fords. Build a SBF right and it'll make just as good of power as an LS. If you have to have an LS find an Nova.

Re: Adding Vintage Air to 64 Comet, anyone do it?

This is my plan for doing it cheap, I'm hoping it'll work! I picked up a vintage aftermarket under dash unit at a swap meet (for free!) and stole accessory drive system (including compressor), as well as other AC parts off a 5.0L Explorer I parted out. I need to find a condensor that will fit but th...

Re: buidling a Family Rod. 65 wagon

Sounds like you've got a pretty well put together plan. Those years of Explorers make great donors. The engines last forever, thanks to modern oil and precision fueling. If you replace the cam and valve springs with better parts they'll make great power too. Yours will have GT40P heads, with the rel...

Re: 64 from Saskatchewan (Canada!)

Hi Fred, I think we "met" at the old fordmuscle forums. I lived in Saskatoon for 5 years, but I wasn't around for the old Merlin motors. Before my time. Gotta love the old dealer plaques though: http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll233/crazy_garry/DSCN0481.jpg I'm living outside of Lloydminster now....

64 from Saskatchewan (Canada!)

Hi everybody, long time lurker here. I've owned my 1964 Caliente hardtop since about 2000. Its an ongoing project, originally a I6 auto, currently a 302 with a T5 transmission. Its put away in winter hibernation and I'm in the middle of a couple projects: explorer 8.8 rear end, and power leather/vin...
