Has any one used the interior panels, seat covers, or headliners from Mustang Market?
http://mustangmarket.net/Comet/1964%20C ... 0Parts.htm
I am interested in hearing about the fit quality and quality of the materials and workmanship.
Thanks!
Jim

Re: Converting an automatic to manual transmission
Don't forget to put a jumper wire in the neutral safety switch connector. Just unplug the switch and connect the two wires together. Or hook them to a hidden toggle switch and you will have an anti theft device. Same thing with the back up light wire if you car has them. Just connect the wires to a ...

Re: My Comechero
Is that a Ranchero emblem with a Mercury head inserted on the tail gate? Looks cool!!
Take some pictures of all the emblems for us to admire.

Re: 65 crites hood stuff.
The reason the Crites hoods have had separating issues and the factory race cars never had that problem is that the Crites hood has a complete "liner" under the hood skin. The factory hoods made by Plaza Glas had the outer skin with just the air chamber attached to the underside, they did not have a...

Re: 65 crites hood stuff.
The lanyards will not harm the paint if they are installed correctly and are made from clear plastic coated cable. You can also install some clear plastic shrink tubing on the cable crimps. Attach one end of the lanyard to the same mount on the core support that holds the hood pin, the lanyard will ...

Reproduction fuel tank
Has anyone purchased one of the reproduction '64-65 Comet fuel tanks? Does it fit? If you bought one are you disappointed with the quality? What is the inside/outside finish of the tank? Does it look like the factory "tinned" finish? Comments welcome......... Or has anyone had their factory tank ext...

Re: SEAT BELT EYE BOLT
The eye bolt on eBay is not the same shape as what I am looking for. I hate to be too fussy but the bolt I need has flat sides on the loop, and the loop is slightly smaller. The eBay bolt looks very similar to what is available from race car supplies.

Re: SEAT BELT EYE BOLT
Mark,
My trip to the salvage yard was in vane, everything there was rusted or picked over to the bare bone. If you have one I would be interested in purchasing it. I will shoot a picture of the type I need just to make sure we are on the same page.
Thank You!

Re: SEAT BELT EYE BOLT
Joe,
Thanks for the reply but I like the factory eye bolt because of the design of the loop. It is small and has a machined look instead of the round look of the Speedway product.
I am headed to a vintage junk yard tomorrow, maybe I will find one there. ( maybe even some Comet stuff!!!)

SEAT BELT EYE BOLT
I am looking for one 1964 factory style seat belt eye bolt. This has a 7/16 fine thread stud.
It does not need to be in perfect condition, I am using in another application.
Thanks
Jim

Re: My first 1964 Caliente/Comet project
Be careful reading posts on forums, most of the posts are opinions not always facts. I'm not saying everything is untrue but most posts are written by people who were not there when these cars were new. I am also not saying that what I post is gospel but having owned a '64 Cyclone for 46 years and b...
