Re: New build 62 Comet
I was going to ask if you were upgrading to 65 parts like mentioned above, I dont think all of 62 stuff is available, so if you need most all of it the 65 stuff would be cheaper but you would need to anti up for a set a spindles & probably would want an 8'' rear so you have 5 lug front & back. then ...

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)
Yeah Jake at falconcomet interiors makes new seat covers & he is highly rated but I heard it takes a while to get them. I had mine back 5'' at first, that might be when I remembered seeing the adapters stick out . Had about 1'' between front seat and back seat  . I moved them up to 3'' back, st...

Re: Replace power brake booster
Are you saying I cant get one that is like the original? I do understand the upgrade to a dual system, but I need to wait at this time. So my option is remove the booster or replace what I have with an exact size unit. I have to imagine that there is at least one ford unit that will fit. maybe ther...

Re: Replace power brake booster
Yea 20 sounds about right to me. I dont think you can get an original booster. ''ABS PowerBrake'' is the name of a company that makes a thin one with a dual reservoir MC (front & back brakes) that is a popular upgrade. the dual reservoir is a lot safer than the factory single bowl MC. if you develop...

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)
will the angle adapters also stick out from under the seat when you have it slid all way back? My flat ones do but they're down just about flush in the rug.Sugarmaker wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:48 pm
I did try the reworked seat brackets and they are good except for the handle sticking out about 3 inches in front of the seat!

Re: Dan's 65 Cyclone project !
Dan the store bought toe boards were a big let down for me. they were over 100 each shipped back then, & even higher now & were pretty simple & needed work after you get them. the corners near the hump are spliced 3-4'' just as you would if you made them & need welded up there. & one of mine was on ...

Re: 65 comet polyurethane bushing kit
Daydreaming huh,,,that's how I ended up with sliders from speedway. they were for a mopar & were close to same size ,just a little smaller than the stock leafspring eyes, but I made some spacers from SS to fill the gap . that was before I daydreamed my self into split mono leafspings.

Re: 65 comet polyurethane bushing kit
both my 65's had different size shackle bushings than a mustang .they were right at 1'' O.D. whereas stang was about 1.5'' or something . & my car came with the larger size in the spring eye & the smaller 1'' thru the frame. but when I took the springs off my parts car it had the smaller 1'' bushing...

Re: ‘65 Cyclone on Hemmings web site
A/FX, I did ask about the headlight covers. I could go either way on them My friend John says they need to go. If I get through this weekend I may add that little project to the list to remove them and set them aside for a while. It's like the fender skirts I got with the the car. Not really planni...

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)

I have been looking for some of those that I had & haven't found them them yet. didnt think I'd ever need them... the pic of it in the garage...
