Anniversary

52 years ago today I proposed to my wife in my brand new 1965 Comet Cyclone. Today I had plans to take my wife to Lefty's Drive Inn for a burger and a shake in my current 65 Cyclone. Re: what did you do to your comet today?

Fired up the comet this morning, and cruised to Lefty's restuarant to have breakfast with the church mens group at 8:00. Received a lot of compliments even if the paint and body isn't exactly stellar. Couldn't resist leaving the driveway without letting them hear the 351 Cleveland sing. Cruised town,...

Re: Just Wondering About Car Definitions

I agree with you guys,my Comet Cyclone has a built 351 Cleveland in it,built C-4 with 3500 stall converter and a 4:11 Detroit Locker,so it's not stock. Stock interior but custom instrument panel, large Autometer tach on dashboard, new upholstered seats, new headliner but new 1965 Falcon door panels. Wi...

Re: 65 Futura in East TN . . .

Keep up the good work Dan. Everything is coming together. You call your car a long term project and I can tell you I bought my 1965 Comet Cyclone in February of 2000 and I just starting driving it this year. I still have to do paint work yet. This year I'm going to put some miles on it. Sometimes li...

Keep up the good work Mike, that car is really coming together. As far as the welding goes I know where you are coming from. I cheated and called my son to do the welding, he's a great welder. He said the more you weld the better you get. Andy

Wow Loman, you are making great progress. I don't know how you do it working on TWO cars. I have just the one Comet and can't get everything done that I would like. I'll use the excuse that I'm 72 years old. Keep up the progress! Andy

Re: what did you do to your comet today?

I changed to lighter front coil springs from my heavy duty Crites springs that came with my shock tower kit. Went from nose up gasser with no give in suspenion to normal stance with some movement. I love changing front coil springs NOT! While I was in there I also changed my pivot arm in my Total Co...
