Re: 1963 falcon convertible converting to a 1994 Ho302 with T-5 trans conversion

Highly doubtful the 94 headers will work. I'm using Hedman 88400 shorties in my 64, pretty tight fit especially on the drivers side. Not sure how different the engine bay in a 63 is. As for power steering, I imagine the 94 pump will work, rotation direction doesn't matter, it will just be a matter o...

Re: LED Tail Light Issues

I converted my tails and signals to LED this summer. Took a few tries to find a flasher that would work properly...or somewhat properly. Had to go to a 3 wire type, with one wire being a ground. The one I ended up with works as it should except the flasher clicks 2-3 extra times once the lights quit...

Re: Water Pump Rotation

Serpentine setups were available in standard or reverse. Easy to tell by looking at the pulley. Smooth pulley = reverse rotation, ribbed = standard. Don't try to run a reverse rotation pump backwards, it won't work very well, if it will even bolt up, which I doubt it would. You need the timing cover...

Re: what did you do to your comet today?

Pulled my fenders off to install my caliente badges. Ever since I had the car painted some twenty odd years ago I’ve never had them on because I lost one in the process. Found a nice pair a few months ago that even have all their pins still - the original one I have only has 2 out of 4 left. My loca...

Re: OT. Help when you can

The local hospital was looking for N100 masks a few days ago. The best I have is a couple N95's. The difference, I gather, is that N100's filter out more particles than the N95 (99.7 vs 95%). I don't keep the single use ones around since they always fog up my glasses. And I can't see anything withou...

If you clean them up you might find that they are marked L and R. Otherwise your guess is as good as mine!

Re: Welding Exhaust

I've always welded exhaust pipe with regular mig wire without any problem. However, it does tend to corrode faster as the aluminum coating burns off near the weld. Since I live in a cold climate where they salt the roads a lot I try to avoid welding whenever I can. However this may not be a concern ...

Watched Ford v Ferrari last night. Really enjoyed it, despite the liberties they took with the story for drama.

Re: Bill's still at it!!

Never slow down, you never get old, as they say. I work for a grain farmer, and his dad still helps out a lot on the farm at 82 (83?) years of age. Simply amazes me. Still puts in the long hours at harvest that guys 30 years his junior (or 45!) struggle to do. Shows no signs of slowing down either. ...

Re: Need thoughts on selling 5 bolt block.

I agree with Fred. I think it would be pretty tough to get your investment back. Best let someone who actually is looking for a 5-bolt block spend the money on it. Rare doesn't equal valuable.
