Finally got the Comet back together, fighting cold weather isn't fun, especially if you don't have to. Went on a short but chilly 75 mile drive and quickly remembered why I love this car so much. It rides like a small Cadillac compared to my other cars. Now, just need to clean and paint the drums and install the Torque Thrust D's and BFG T/A Radials and I will be finished with Cali for a while. Now, on to the Ranchero that has been impatiently waiting in the wings for it's turn.

Finally got the new wheel and tires on today. The 215/65-15's really fill the wheel wells. No rubbing but it is really close. Now back to the Midget and the Ranchero.

TT D's 7 inch with 215/65-15 BFG T/A radial tires. Not much room in the rear but plenty up front.

Snowball have you had a passenger yet? Mine has a slight rub with a passenger in certain situations, but not too bad. Mine are 215/60/15 bfg ta rads ,,just slightly shorter than yours. mine sits lower than yours, the lower you get the more it will rub. mine was lower in front it rubbed pretty bad so I raised it an inch or 2.

The tires rubbed up front when I turned the wheel full lock. I moved the lower fender brackets to the outer hole and no more rubbing. The rears will rub ever so slightly when I hit a dip in the road at speed. The rear is lowered a bit so I will raise it up back and if that doesn't fix it I may just move the rear end back 3/8 of an inch. If you look at the post above you can see how close the rear tire is to the fender.

Combo looks good!
I just put new leaf springs and bushings under mine this week. What an amazing difference that made. Leveled and raised the rear, got rid of the body shifting causing my tires to rub, and for rid of my wheel hop!

Not a great pic of its stance but before I ran 90 psi in the rear for height and now only 50!

Made some sweet spring plates also.

Now I can upgrade from my 205/60 tires to some wider ones now that body doesn't slide all over.
