I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

well, i have had a productive couple weeks. found a built set of 69 windsor heads/big valves and ported/roller rockers/screw in studs/guide plates, a 650 double pumper, a fresh t-10 tranny/bell housing/clutch/pedals/flywheel, complete disc brake conversion kit, frame mounts and L brackets, 3.25 posi unit for my 8" all for $472.48. where was ebay and craigslist 20 years ago when i needed it?

it's about time i got a deal on parts. 20-25 years ago you had to know the right people to find ford parts, and then you weren't sure you could afford them f they could be bought. that's why i wasn't sure about ever building another car because i lost so much money on them before. i am being much slower to buy parts and google is my hunting partner now.

I agree.
I try consult the Craigslist and Ebay gods when Im in need of an original part. Ive never really found anything right away, but when I search consistantly Ill usually find what I need at an agreeable price.
