burnt the mid night oil last night,decided the rear main seal on one is not bad 'nuff to warrant the work this week so it's gonna leak alittle.Grand son is driving again saturday,we got a grace night last saturday on the weight,but won't this week .the owner/driver is a tick over 100lbs heavier than grandson so had to scale it and add that much lead to the car,but you gotta know where to add it at for the best results,the car has to tip the scales at 2500lbs with the driver,,,later ,,Pop

Getting loaded up tonight for the Fun Ford Weekend at Maple Grove Raceway. Hopefully the weather cooperates. Think i finally figured out the rollout and we're gonna hit the tree this weekend! Woo Hoo. Later, Mark

PUT it on 'em ,mark !! we're looking for 18 plus cars in our class tomorrow night.....on a 1/4 mile track,best place to start is either on the front row or the last,,,,but we'll have to see where we qualify....good luck ,your welfare will be in my thoughts...pop

THE paint loss don't bother me near like the dents do..and its one big DENT....but we got the handleing down pat(finaly) on this little mustang.it darn near wants to turn left on its own ,my son said he can almost let go of the wheel in the turns and it still turns,no effort at all,in dirt track,the better it handles the faster,even with less under the hood and thats what we've always strived to acchive,burp the throttle-tap the brake ,back on the throttle,,all in the blink of a eye......thanks pop

WELL,we got this RAINLESS streak going on every where and we finaly got some rain last night,right over the area where the track is located,,so we are rained out,this was a high paying special race,now it's put off til sept 8,,can't win ...for loseing sometimes but thats OK,,the good LORD knows best !! pop

It's almost time we normaly load up,,this is when the rain out starts to really sit in on me,and the alternant track we go to where we've won 7 out of the last 8 feature races is also closed tonight,so NASCAR is going to have to supply my high for this wk-end !! so good luck to any one that gets to be at a race track this wk-end...(think I'll at least start the race car so I can hear it ,,,might make a loop or two in the pasture)..... pop

Man; you got it bad.

I haven't been to the track since oh, 91or 2. After 3 three years of racing my 62 Comet that I built in 84. I tore it down, pieced it out and said to hell with racing. My wallet has been better ever since but the fever; the beast within has never left.

Just got home from Maple Grove Raceway Fun For Weekend. Well, we had some fun all right. Went 6 rounds to the semi finals down to 3 cars. I had my guy covered on the tree and at the other end but broke out. What a bummer. I thought we were going all the way. Six rounds is pretty good though. Off to Mason Dixon next week to meet with Comet East Club and race a new track. Mark

Getting loaded up to head out to Mason Dixon Dragway in MD for the first time. Meeting up with Comet East. All Ford race on sunday! Need another good showing like last week. Mark
