I haven't ran that brand but you should screw the bead's.
66 Cyclone GT; 245/60R15's on 15x8's and 215/70R15's on 15x7 Magnum's.

I wouldn't screw those tires on. They are rather small and more of a street tire. I used the 275/60/15 M/T Drag Radials on my '66 Fairlane and never screwed them on. My 450HP isn't enough to spin the wheels in the tires.

Back to the main question. I have not put the Hoosiers on stock rims. Are your rims 5.5" wide or 6"? Hoosier should have a chart on their website to tell you the proper width wheel to use. I'd check there first before any other source.

We run Hoosiers on our dirt track cars.....I have a 1984 5.0 mercury capri, that me and son built over20 yrs ago for me to play with on the street and late at night, which I did alot,,,,one day I loaded it up and took it to the drag strip, been so long now I forgot my time, but it was respectable, brought it home and got to thinking and looking at my worn out rear tires,,so I mounted up 2 half worn out Hoosier dirt tires on the rear of the capri and went back to the drag strip the next wk-end....and I picked up an honest half sec. got that out of my system and never went back, now the capri is put away and both of those hoosiers are flat and dang near rotted off the whls......but I still have it just in case I need to scratch that itch,again..pop

255/60/15 with 4.5" back space wheels will fit with no issues. I went with 275/60/15 and I trimmed 3/8" off the wheel lip, cutting right through the center of the spot welds. Barely noticeable. The big issue is the bulge about 2-3 inches above the lip on the inside. The bulge protrudes inward. When your tire goes up it catches the side wall. I tapped mine in with a dead blow mallet. Again, no one will ever notice.

I used to run 26 x 8.5 x 15s on std 6" steel rims for years no problems, when you mount them don`t use lube if possible, or they may turn, but they usually only turn about 1/2" before they lock on, not sure with the 66 but on the 64 the slicks will rub on the back of the sill panel (dog leg) when they grow depending on your MPH, mine only started grabbing when I hit 108MPH in the 1/4, I moved the diff back 1" for clearance, you won`t have this problem with radial slicks. if you run caltracs you won`t have clearance problems with the wheel tub, the body lifts away from the slick on launch. i was going to put something on the rims to help seal them, i never thought that might make them spin on the rims. i may have to rethink that. i guess i will just make sure everythings clean before mounting them
