A buddy of mine runs the Comet Montego Torino Registry and he gave me these numbers from cars on the registry for a 1966 Caliente 390/4 Spd..

So far, out of 42 Caliente Convertibles found, I’ve got 9 H 2Vs, 3 Y code-2V low compression & one S code 390-4V (3922 built)

Out of 75 Caliente 2drs, the registry has 9 H code 2Vs, one Y 2V & one 4V & an R code? (25862 built)

YOU keep diggin and you might find yours is to rare to drive, might ought to put it behind apiece of glass and just stand back and admire and kick yourself in the butt for treating it the way you did years ago, when it was just a bb comet :D  :? good luck ..POP

His records are only of cars whose owners have submitted the VINs. I can give you his info if you'd like to register yours?

The FCA is not about car originality. We do have an Original and concours class but the open class is for everything else and are the most popular classes with all models. If you don't register you can't show. To be on the showfield all cars must be registered.
