Is this a 67 Comet clutch pedal assy?

Post by Jedeka »

I bought this pedal assembly, bead blasted and primed them. Waiting for bearing kit from Mustang Steve. Want to make sure this is the correct pedal assembly for a 67 Comet. These were supposed to have been pulled from a 67 Fairlane. If this is correct, where can I find a new clutch pedal bumper shown in pic #1 ? Thanks.

I think those are from a 66. I had the same issue with mine, the pedals I bought were a whole inch short from the firewall to the where they mount up with the steering column. The reason I know this is because in the second pic you posted where there are the holes there should be nuts that the bracket bolts to. I used my pedal hanger bracket (from my car) and put the brake and clutch pedals in it. Works great. Good luck

Poboyjo65, I saw those in a few searches, but my pad has a flat bumper pad on the pedal side. I'm told there are no reproductions being made.

I came across a 1" clutch pedal firewall spacer that fits my pedal bolt spacing. If I remember correctly, my pedal brackets measure 13" front to back and by adding the spacer, I should get the pedals installed correctly. Has anyone seen the spacer I am talking about? I cannot get picture to upload.

That bumper looks the most promising yet. Thanks. I will see if it works, when it shows up.

Received the 67-68 Mustang clutch pedal bumper but not correct one. Back to the drawing board.
