What would you do to your comet if you had an extra $2000?

Post by dcducks1 »

I'm just curious what everyone would do to their Comet if they had an extra $2000. I'm pretty sure I would go with body work and a new paint job......I think! A drum brake to disc conversion sounds pretty sweet too! I'm not looking to have a "sleeper" and I don't really want my son to have a super fast hotrod so I doubt my money would go towards more power under the hood. Anyway, just wanted to see what "big project" everyone else is saving their pennies for.

Power disc brakes all the way around or a Fatman Fab IFS kit for the front end.

Poboy, I would also like to put some money into front end parts.

Jedeka - An IFS would make quite a difference in the ride and handling. That would be a sweet upgrade. I just helped a friend replace the entire front end suspsension on a '71 Ford F100 and converted his brakes to discs on the front. Wow, what a difference that made for that "tired iron" !

Finish the 410 (that's 99% there), redo my seats and order front and rear fiberglass bumpers with a fiberglass hood for good measure (then I need another $2k to get the thing painted again). Any left overs go towards custom offset reversed rear 15" rims :) .. $2k just isn't enough .. sigh
