Front coils

Post by dcducks1 »

I am looking at possibly changing out the front coils on the '66. Any idea how much (or any) lift I should see in the front end by doing this?

Not that this helps but I swapped from stock coils to lowering and it dropped about 2 inches. Even though they were the originals it seems they held to the same height.

I like the way the the combo shows in the front opening.
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

YRS ago on a 63 falcon,I went from 4lug to 5lug and put in a 289 AT,I 1st used frt coils from a 390mustang ,it set so high it threw the GEMOTERY off so bad ,I couldn't even back it out of the shop,,went back to springs from a 63 comet with a 260....but I sure liked the way it looked !!with those 390 springs...pop
