This proportioning valve will work:

Or anything similar.

I'm not sure if you have power brakes or not. That'll determine what type of dual master cylinder you'll need. Also, be sure to get one with an internal rear residual pressure valve. Otherwise you'll have to install an external 10psi RPV for the rear drums.
I'm thinking 67s had stock dual MCs right? If you order one for a 67 Comet with disc brakes that should work. But verify about the RPV. Somewhere along the line Ford switched from internal RPVs to ones mounted in a combination valve that worked as a distribution block, proportioning valve and residual pressure valve.

Yea thats the same proportioning valve I was looking at. But I have manual brakes and I did a little searching around and the mc from a granada should fit and it will have a smaller bore, which I was told should make the brakes a little easier to operate. But I think I will have to put in a rpv.

Thanks for the info.

That's what I used for my disc conversion. Granada/Maverick dual MC. It doesn't have the internal residual pressure valve.
I installed my system without the RPV and ran it like that until I found out I needed it. I wasn't too worried about it and I installed one when it was convenient for me. I noticed a quicker pedal right away.
Good luck!

Did you install a rpv just in the line running to the rear brakes? A guy I work with was saying something about putting one in the front too,but I didnt know Iif thats really necessary

No you don't need one for the front disc brake circuit. (That's a hot rod method for situations where the MC is mounted lower than the calipers).
You just need one in line with the rear brakes. 10psi for drums. I mounted mine after the proportioning valve.

Where the MC is the lowest point in the system a valve is needed, front and rear,to keep the fluid from migrating back to the MC. ROY.

Okay, so I have disc's to install. I pulled the SSBC kit from a 67 Fairlane donor. I am installing on my 66. What is the cardone MC number ya'll are using? All I find for disc is power and I have manual.

Toward the bottom of the list are the manual brake 15/16" bore MCs. I used Raybestos.

When I did mine I used an mc from an 84 Bronco II. Original ford part. All aluminum, 15/16" bore. Used from PNP. Was perfect so didn't even have to rebuild it. Just cleaned it up and installed it.

I am finally getting ready to install the disc brakes on the front. So, what master cylinder is for manual disc and has the residual pressure valve built in? I didn't find that detail on the listings at Rock Auto.

I think Ford starting using the external RPVs when they went to the external "combo valves" that had RPV, proportioning valve and distribution block built in.
And I think that was early 70s.
Check into 67-69 mustang manual brake MC.

Did the swap myself..wasn't bad to do..watch spacing on bracket so spacing is equally on both sides.
