Tank armor.com

Post by jrunner »

Hey guys I saw this on the web and thought it would be a great safety tool. Steel floor insert for a barrier to place the fuel tank outside of the vehicle. Company doesn't list 1964 comet. Anybody use a fuel tank armor on a 1964 comet from the company Tankarmor.com?? Is a 64 comet mustang gas tank the same dimensions? Going to take measurements and pictures to send to them but also wanted any feedback from forum members. Thanks

If they don't have a kit for the Comet I think a plate can be made up for far less than $200.
They use 11 gauge steel.
I installed a steel panel behind the rear seat, separating the passenger cabin from the trunk. I used screws and it's sealed with a heavy duty windshield type rope seal that itself will hold the panel in place.
