broken clutch cable

My clutch cable broke the other day on my 65 comet caliente 5 speed, the ball on the end of the cable broke off ,had to flat bed car home. ordered a new cable from modern drive line . looks hard to change ,any tips on doing this ? thanks

The MDL cable is adjustable @ the firewall right (can’t remember)? I would think it’d be too bad just replacing the cable.
