If the image on that link is what they have it wont fit a 65. the image has 3 tabs. 65 rings only have 2 tabs, one with a round hole for the spring, & a rectangular hole on the opposite side of the ring to hook on the headlight bucket tab. they are most likely a one year only ring.

Poboy is right on,my 1965 has 2 tabs and a hole for the spring along with a small spot weld that holds the ring together which will break very easily after age. I drilled a very small hole and the smallest pop rivet to put it back together. I can't remember if the uppers were different from the lower headlights. Maybe Poboy will know. Andy

They're the same as bottoms Andy. & you are right they do break easy,as do the tabs on the buckets.& the buckets are different, all four are different, & have stamped markings to identify. be gentle with all of it,I dont think any are reproduced!!

Here are some NOS ones, & according to the description fit a 66 fairlane as well as 65 comet. they look right for 65 comet. kinda high but probably not as brittle as a used one.

seems like 67 fairlane should if 66 does? :?

Last year, when I saw what they were selling for I decided my extras are staying on the shelf.
66 Cyclone GT; 245/60R15's on 15x8's and 215/70R15's on 15x7 Magnum's.
There's nothing like the sound of a pushrod V8 singing at the top of her lung's.
