oil pan interchangeability 170

Have a 62 170
Oil pan has a hole in it
Wanting to know what to look for at the local pull a part
Will later pans fit..will one of any 250 work??

Need to know asap.. Car is my daily driver

Pull the old pan (you're going to have remove it anyway) and take it with you. Should be able to confirm a match visually. Take a tape measure just to make sure. :lol:

im just trying to find out the Newest car that would have the same pan..
is the 200 or 250 pan the same?
if the 200 is are later model 200s the same?

I don't know but if the gasket part number interchanges they will probably interchange. Why don't you just fix it?

just mig weld a patch on your old pan and put iit back on,no big deal. you cant see it anyway.

All oil pans should interchange in terms of bolt pattern, BUT later model pans have the deepest part in a different area, with the oil pump in a different location. This was done to clear the frame/suspension on later model cars. So you would need to find one that's shaped like yours. I don't know when they changed.
