3M Panel Bonding adhesive part 8115
Re: 3M Panel Bonding adhesive part 8115
I started cutting some of the metal back out tonight. I got it to where the hood will flex again but not as much. I'm going to get someone to help me and then tack weld a rod in while flexing the front of the hood to get it back to where it should be. Heck I never like the original contour of it anyway because it didn't line up very good maybe I can make it better. The part that deformed in the middle I'm thinking I might have to live with.

Yeah, I've checked out your "rattle trap" and other rides on the you tubes in your thread, they look and run pretty darn good! It's been way too long since I've run one down the strip, wouldn't know how to act if I had something that turned 10s or 11s in the quarter. Anything I would take to the strip would be a driver on occasion in most cases.
I hope you get the hood taken care of, I know hoods are a real PITA to work on....

Update on hood. I broke down and took my hood last month to a small shop to get it straight and painted. I got it back Friday night and it looks great. He even added a little more heavy duty fiberglass to the bottom side. Seeing the freshly painted hood makes me wish I had enough money to get the whole car painted.
