rear seat supports location

Hi everybody great looking site!!

i'm having trouble locating the rear seat supports on my 64 2 door hardtop
if somebody had the measurements or a good picture of the sheet metal would be much appreciated
ill try and upload a pic of what i'm talking about just in case i'm not explaining properly

are you talking about the back rest or the bottom of the seat?

Yea I had the same problem. you can probably tell where they line up on top of the tunnel right?,then basically just stay as straight as you can. I try & find a pic of mine. as far as the angle just keep the top flange level , the seat slides on that. they are called seat risers, & they will show but usually get covered in carpet or vinyl.

These pics show about where they line up on the sides. they have some vinyl covers but if you look hard you can see the metal top flange;

That looks just right! :D so now you will need to weld on the mounts for the back rest part of the seat,right? seems like I had those measurements wrote down when I did mine. but if all else fails you put the seat back in place & get in the trunk to mark locations. I think they have some leeway sideways but must be pretty close from front to back.

yup thats next
i will need to fab new ones as the old ones were rusted to nothing

its amazing what mice can do :shock:
