Sealer Putty?

I need to get my windshield wipers put back in and was wondering what the putty is called that seals them (between the chrome bezel and the car body), it is like a mastic that does not harden, the stuff that was on there was grey but black would be preferred, smaller tube the better because I will probably let the left over go to ruin before I need it again

Thanks John, that is what I was looking for, I thought it was sealer and not a gasket, maybe it just got soft in the last 50 some years.
