Weatherstripping clue

What have you guys used to clue the weatherstripping back on the doors? Silicone is all I can come up with.

old yeller, 3M super yellow. & other brands have a similar ''yellow'' type stuff.peratex,3M,,, all is pretty good,I cant tell much difference in any of the yellow. here is another brand that is about as good. I think it is Versa-chem brand.

There is also a black version but I like ol yeller for some reason

If silicone was ever used beforehand,nothing else will stick properly.

You probably did it by now but here's another option. I worked at a Mustang restoration shop many years ago. I installed more weatherstripping than I can remember. We used plain old contact cement. Get it at Home Depot or wherever. I would hang the strip from something like a garage door track then paint it on. Then paint a layer on the car. Wait till it gets tacky and, well, that isn't going anywhere... Just make sure you get it right because it sticks instantly. There's actually a good youtube video on doing it...
