Interior Paint

Post by geralde »

Anybody know what the factory Turquoise color is in the interior of the 64 Comet?
Also a good source for it.

Thanks

Your Paint, body and equipment store should have old color charts, mine does.

Well,

Here in Tennessee if you do your research you will know more than the local
shops will. All the local can do is look up the old Ditzler number then tell you
we need to do a custom mix to try to match the color. It seems to me a phone call to
their suppliers might be worth a shot but they don't have time for that.

They make alot of these in 12oz. spray cans. Check out any Mustang supplier, now you just gotta figure out which Mustang color is right for a Comet. Here is a link to some that might work.

The '64 Falcon/Comet shop manual lists the only turquoise color as "medium turquoise metallic" but I believe this is the exterior color. If the paint color used for the interior is a different color I would be surprised.

I've purchased from Automotivetouchup.com

here is their list for 64

http://www.automotivetouchup.com/choose ... l%20models

They call it "Silver Turquoise Metalic"... but then again, they called my Carnival Red -- "Cardinal Red" which, as a Cub fan, I take exception to.
