The best way to clean scuff plates, etc...

[New to the board.has anyone got an easy way to clean things such as the scuff plate below the door jam?
I did do one.. . basic cleaner, followed with Purple Power, then copious (x two) amounts of Mothers Alum/chrome cleaner.
Gotta admit...it looks great. But there's no away in h*ll I'm going to do that piece after piece.
Does anyone know of a soak solution for small parts that will achieve the same results?
