Leny, that is a dream motor for any die-hard ford person... of which there are more than several of here! What are your intentions for it when completed? Would be sweet if you keep it (somewhat) streetable! Keep the pics coming! Take care, Cary

my 64 caliente has the original 260 motor in it with 55k original miles.

I am looking for opinions carb vs efi for this application. normal car meet up and local driving. not racing obviously.

Welcome to the forum!
Boy thats a low mileage Comet!
How bout some pics?
Hardtop?, sedan?, colour?
Maybe start a thread of your own to show off your ride.
Efi is a lot a dough for a local cruiser,,,
Had my 64 in SoCal in '14, stayed in O'side and did a few shows around there.

The VIN shows it as 4J23F. and that checks out as assembled in Los Angles, 2 door hardtop with a 260 2 bar carb. I really love it. The motor is small but gets the job done surprisingly well. It is yellow with red trim and red interior. most people are temped to cut it up and drop a fire eating motor in it but not this one. Just a nice sweet (kind of) original cruiser. I did put the stereo in it, crager SS rims, radial T/As and tinted the windows all because i am old and thats the way we drove these cars in the 70s. It is all numbers matching so i will leave it that way. Maybe the next guy will do it different. I am interested in the EFI possibility because i am getting to old to be fiddling around with these old ass carbs. Just wanted to know if anyone has experience with this motor and EFIs.

thank you for this forum so much....

Zboxz....welcome aboard! :D You snuck in on me under Lenym's thread. Sounds like you've got a nice original car. Like Sassy said, you need to start a thread of your own and show us some pics of your ride. We'd all like to see it.
