New comet owner

Post by Bluecollar comet »

Hello comet fans. I bought a 62 comet yesterday for my teenage son who wanted a classic for his first car. The body is rust free and living in new england thats rare. So rare i forgot to ask which engine it had. I dont have it home yet but have the vin. Is there a website i can use to decode the vin and see what we got? Thanks !

Welcome aboard! Here's another link to the same information for a 65 model. It's from the same website as Loner posted, but for some reason, the 62 info doesn't show an example of the warranty plate or VIN numbers to help you figure out how they are arranged. It might be helpful when using the 62 info to figure out what you have. Good luck with your father/son project.
