a 64 comet trash heap followed me home

hi yall.
i recently came upon a 64 comet that for some reason i had to buy. the price was right, the car was ugly and old.... perfect. so i drug it home. The offender boarded my trailer as a ragged, stripped, rusty roller. when i started researching, i found the car to be a 6 cylinder car with seemingly undesirable suspension. at this point, it sits while i work on home improvement projects. i have a couple of ideas brewing but not quite sure what ill end up doing with it. no matter the decision, it will be done on a shoe string budget, and just to put a big smile on my face driving it around.
with that being said, i have a healthy 4.6 4v, and 3650 trans from a previous car i parted out, a welder, and a will to learn. i have other "reasonable" engine options available, and am considering as well.
