Introduce myself
Aloha all,
New to the forum from Hawaii. I am starting a father/ son project 65 Comet hardtop, 289 4brl, 4-speed T-10, with 3.50 posi. This is our first build together. I have a lot of tech question that I need answers to from you Comet lovers. I have a donor 65 convertible that has many good parts for our hardtop. This car was sitting on jack stands from the 90’s due to engine problems. My sisters father in-law was the second owner from 1965 and we will be the third. I hope to hear from many of you. Thank, Ed

Re: Introduce myself
Welcome aboard. Love to see photos of this project, so if you need help posting, please ask. And I'm sure there are a few of us who will want to see the car in person someday, even if it does mean making the sacrifice and making a trip to Hawaii

Welcome Eddie!!
Looking forward to following your build!
There is a good tutorial in the lounge on posting pics.
Tons a knowledge here and help for the asking.
Hope you enjoy the easy going attitude on this forum.

Re: Introduce myself
Welcome aboard, Eddie! Plenty of help for the asking. There are a couple of threads on posting pictures, but this is probably the best one:
https://www.cometcentral.com/forum/view ... =1&t=16011
There are a lot of build threads on here filled with good information. Start one of your own so we can follow your progress and you can ask questions related to your build and have it all in one place. Builds that involve the kids are special.
Welcome to you, too, Zapah! You might want to introduce yourself again in your own intro thread under Introduce Yourself. That way you're not lost nested in Eddie's intro thread where a lot of folks might overlook you. We'd love to see some pics of your Comet collection.

Re: Introduce myself
Tech question;
I want to convert to disc brakes in the front and run a power booster and duel master cylinder with a proportioning valve. I saw the the forum using the Geo booster and duel master cylinder with the Granda proportioning valve. Is that the way to go? What about the front disc set up, can I use the original front spindles or do I need to change all new. I would like to try to use original type ford calipers if possible. I love to hear your input on this. Thanks from Hawaii, Ed
