Lookin good! :D I noticed you haven't done the shelby drop yet. You mentioned you might do for a little more drop. I thought I would mention this in case you do the drop, the earlier cars need some small pieces welded in on the inside of the engine bay, because the new holes land just off ,or half on & off of the reinforcement of the shock tower. It would be a good time to do that when you are welding all those little holes up while the engine is out.

I've used greyhound for shipping big stuff with success & cheaper too. I have also heard fastenal has reasonable shipping.

Are you going with the full floorpan?

Yeah looking at the structure as it is kind of shy'd me away from the Shelby drop; we'll see. It looks like the outside need's cut too for the arm to clear.

I'll check the shipper's out.

And yes, a full pan with new toe kick's added.

Yea most guys beat a big dimple where the back zerk is. If I had it to do over again I would cut about an 1 1/2 hole on the back sides. & get a rubber plug cap. the problem with a dimple is it is hard to guess where it needs to be, since alignments move the arm in & out. better susp. geometry is the reason I did the shelby drop. Do you plan upgrade to 65 v8 steering?

It has it with the Granada spindles and disc brakes. It is all new (except the spindles) and so are all the steering pieces. I'm still not certain I'll keep that combo.

That looks good, I might do the same on my Comet when the time comes, did you use the spray kind? Or I guess I should ask what kind of liner is it? I used the Wal-Mart rattle can stuff on the rockers of my Jeep and it held up really well, it did fade after a few years but not bad, under the hood there would be less likely to get a lot of sun, hopefully :roll:

UPOL Raptor spray on. You can get 4 1 liter bottles plus the activator and gun for around a hundred bucks. It is urethane and the best I've found. In my opinion it is way better than the Rhino liner. It has a nice sheen that last's. The more pressure, the smoother the texture. I shoot it at 50 psi and they recommend 60 max.

I guess I should further explain; you pour the activator into the bottle until it reaches the full mark on the side, shake it, screw the gun on and go. So you are only spraying 1 qt./liter at a time. On this job I had a full bottle left over.

Strut Rod question. 1961 Falcon. Measurement needed. I bought this as someone else's project. It has been converted to the 5 lug front and he said he used Mustang parts. In 1983 I used the whole front suspension from a 65 mustang and put it under a 62 Comet. I remember keeping the Comet strut rods because they were adjustable. I had stripped this 61 apart and have been doing a detailed resto. I put the suspension back under and when I went to install the strut rods I found that 1, they are 22 3/8" in length and 2, the mounting holes for the control arm are 1 1/4" on the strut rods and 1 1/2" on the lower control arm's. He egged the holes in the control arms and downsized the bolts to get it together. I first need the measurements from the OE strut rods to make sure that is what I have.
