I am replacing my old alternator with a new Delco 10SI type with internal voltage regulator. The old alternator has a wire connected to STA (Stator) terminal and another connected to FLD (Field) terminal. The new alternator has terminals (1) and (2). My question is do I need to connect these old wires to the new alternator and if so which one would go where. No wiring diagram was given with the unit but I believe that "FLD" and "1" may be the same thing. Anybody been down this road already?
Thanks,
Mark
