Just put a Holley 800 marine carb on.

Post by Matty »

Ok. I know some people are going to bash me and that's completely okay. I don't typically follow trends and that's how I get my jollys.

My previous carb was holley 600. The vacuums secondaries just didn't seem to be keeping up with my combo so.... I got a 800 cfm Marine carb despite what everyone says about putting big carbs on small ci motor.

Guess what...I bolted a carb that had sat on shelf for 10 years and didn't turn a screw on it and runs amazing. More power all through rpm. I am not saying go out and buy one lol but if you had one laying around and wanted to have some fun throw it on!

It's not a bad idea, you can always jet down a bit if you're running rich.

Glad to hear you're feeling more solid. 13s here we come!!

A plug reading would be a good idea. I love Holley carb's.
