Shucks, then use those!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: They did all that work and left the press-in studs?? If so, IMO it's worth it to have them properly installed. 58cc is correct for a '71 302. Compression was around 9:1 for '71. Use a .039 head gasket over a .047 (like the Mr. Gasket pair). If the machine shop even milled 'em .010 to clean-up, that'll help also. Should run good w/ the small Thumpr cam! :D :lol: :lol:

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together.

Yes I do!! :) This will be some of what I'm doing this winter. but now, I'm looking for a machine shop in the area.
