I think I've seen new kits at some of the venders but the above link would be the cheapest route, & if you can find it get intermittent wipers.

I may be wrong but I believe the wiper linkage arms have to be upgraded to electric style as the vacuum wiper arms were different. Not reproduced so you would need a donor.
Then the intermittance wiper from an F series will fit and work correctly. This is what I have on mine and i am very happy with it. And it's not even obvious as it uses the original bezel on the dash.

If you find out this is true and '64 wipers would fit I have a parts car I could rob them off of for you, if you can't find any locally.

You need to get the arms and wiper motor mounting plate from a 63-65 falcon. And the motor arm from any falcon 1 speed wiper motor. then the F series wilper motor is a direct bolt on.

I don't see why arms & stuff from lavron's 64 comet wouldn't work, why does it have to be a falcon?

His should work just fine since it already has electric wipers. I was referring to earlier falcons and comet that were built with vacuum wipers. Those are the ones that would need the arms and mounting plate changed. Then all the pieces will bolt right up. Falcons and comets probably evolved the same way and used the same parts. I'm assuming the comets followed the same evolution and the early ones also had vacuum wipers in the same years as falcons.

Here's a typical arm setup as would be needed to convert from vacuum wipers to electric.

You can call Newport Engineering in Washington, Missouri. I don't know if they have one for a 60-63 Comet or any other years for that matter, but that is what they do. They make electric wiper motors so people can upgrade their old classic cars to a better wiper system. I parted out a 65 a few years back and my dad took the wiper assembly over to them. They had it for quite a while but I never checked back to see if they started building anything for the 65.

I just looked and they have a listing for the 60-62 Comet

after further research, the 60-62 did have a 2 speed elec. motor available.....the 63-65 is a different part number.

PSA: A detailed description for installing 1973-79 F-Series or 1978-79 Bronco Wiper Motor + 1978-87 F-Series or Bronco Intermittent Wiper Switch & Wiring Harness was writtent by Dick Harrington of Comet East under the title Intermittent Windshield Wipers + 2 Speeds.

These instructions imply removing the Comet's (optional) factory vacuum interval system and replacing it with a modern electronic mechanism.
