Welcome back Mike! Good to hear your all back and good to go.

Mike,
Glad you are back home. Thanks for including all of us in your travels - if we couldn't be there in person at least we were with you in spirit.
I am glad you and the Comet made it home safely. I would really like to do the Route 66 thing but, I fear, now I am too old to attempt it.

Mike, just catching up on your trip. Great trip and what an adventure.

I drug this old thread up & read it again, maybe some of the newer guys might enjoy it too. it was fun to keep up with him when he did it.Looks like the pics are gone though. Haven't seen RCMike on here in a year or 2 either. anybody heard from him? Hope he is ok.
Re: Road trip in a 49 year old car
Thanks Johno for bumping this thread. I just read every thread from the beginning and it is an excelletnt thread. My hat is off to RCmike for driving his car to PF and back. Maybe someday I will build a streetable car and do something similar such as drive route 66 as Dave suggested. I've always wanted to do that.
Re: Road trip in a 49 year old car
That's cool alright,,but at this point in life,I'd rather be driven....just let me sit on the passenger side and take it all in

Re: Road trip in a 49 year old car
What we need to do is get a crew together and make a trip from some location to PF one year. Ya'll know I'm game.
Maybe we can start at Pop's house and ride over. If I remember it's a good days drive for him with the trailer so should be an easy 2 or 3 day trip with stops to eat and maybe take in a site or 2. Some of the guys that fly in can just fly into Arkansas and ride with some of the drivers.

Careful your character's showing!

If I can ever get my Comet together I am driving it to PF and anyplace else I want to go.
