Re: Introducing my UK Cyclone
Had a bit of a dig about this morning, I could see there was some previous bondo that had lifted, but wasnt expecting it to be as bad as this
I will see if I can beat it out better and lead it, otherwise I will be looking for a section of rear quarter panel to weld in!

Re: Introducing my UK Cyclone
Just working on cleaning up the floorpans at the moment so that I can epoxy them and repaint.
When I received the Comet its didnt have a carpet or any sound deadening, I have just noticed some self tapping screws in the front floorpan & toeboards. Were these originally holding the carpet or sound deadener down?

That’s a big affirmative on the screws. I’ve never used them when installing a new molded carpet. Maybe I’ve been lucky on the fit.
Btw RockAuto sells ACC carpet kits and floor mats for a great price.

Probably not a bad thing to have a FRIEND who owns a tank. Just be sure you stay on his friend list.

Well, parts for our hobby have GOT to be cheaper than parts for his. I bet we get better mileage, too.

Re: Introducing my UK Cyclone
He lucked out on a lot of parts. I was out wheelin in my Wrangler on some military land one day where there were over 20 old tanks scattered about (mostly Chieftains & Centurions) used for target practice or whatever! I spoke to the off roading organiser who gave me a telephone number of the contact at the army base. So when my friend called them, they said come and take what you want as they are about to scrap the lot anyway So a couple of truck loads later he had most of the parts he neededJims65cyclone wrote:Well, parts for our hobby have GOT to be cheaper than parts for his. I have a feeling that a "tank top" is something completely different in the US to the UK lolpopscomet wrote:NOT EVEN A TANK TOP??? .......poplavron wrote:I have to admit, I don't have any friends with tanks

Re: Introducing my UK Cyclone
