64 Comet lower windshield trim

Post by pjdailey »

Hey guys,
I am breaking down my 64 Caliente for paint and one last piece of trim is kicking my butt. How do you remove the lower stainless windshield trim on a 64 Comet convertible???

You dont. it comes out with the window & seal. It has to be in the seal on the windshield & centered when it goes back together also.

so unless you are removing the windshield just tape it up good for paintjobs.

Same is true for the rear windshield trim, if you were planning to remove them, as well.

The windshield has to come out

Oops! Missed that last word. BUT...if it weren't a vert, that's what you'd have to do.
