I was going to mount my main hoop on 2X2 tubing that went between my 2X3 frame and door sill/rocker but the steel shop had no 2X2. I mounted it to the floor with the 6X6 1/8 plate the kit comes with. I might add the 2X2 at a later date. I had to take some bend out of my back bars so the bar would come close to following the rear window. You might want to tell them what angle you want for that bar. If you use the Art Morrison kit get them to add 2 inches to the bottom of the roof line bar. Their bar is setup to run to low and the bar sits lower than the roof line. I raised mine the bar is tucked up in the roof so when get in you do not have to duck an extra 2 inches. Any question ask and I will try to answer. I took me about 12 hours to fit and weld and I have not done the side bars yet.

LOL, I posted this coment on facebook. They advertised our cage is custom bent to fit your car. I think they meant your car not mine.

Slow day today, seemed to fight every bolt. Tomorrow will be better as I'm putting the motor in.

I took the night off and fresh start today.

Motor and tranny are in but I had to re-engineer my crossmember. I forgot that this tranny is a little different than my old C4.

It has been a struggle lately, parts not arriving, parts not fitting and my rearend housing getting cut wrong. I'm still missing a window seal but it should be here today and I had another rearend housing cut and it is perfect. The axles should be here monday/tuesday. Still some welding to do for shock mounts and rear spring hangers, build the exaust, wiring, sidebars on the cage but hope to be driving the comet next week.
