Steve- Thanks for the pictures. That looks real good!
Poboyjo- I may take you up on that. I want to get my new rear in first and see what angle my shocks will be at. I didn't move quite as far as below, but I was already thinking about how to duplicate the "pockets" if I had to move them inward. That might be the way to go. Cut pieces out of another and weld them in. Thanks! Mark

Real Racecars have 3 pedals
Re: Steve's 64 Comet Project
Cool idea Steve I liked those hoods from way back! Your engine is looking good! Have you ever fired it up yet? Keep at it you'll make the FE Reunion yet. I'm out on the Autorama, interior guy is booked with Al Berglers last car he wants in the Autorama this year so I understand that is a high end job. Not sure if I will get to attend the FE Race this year myself....Al

Nice Job Steve, everything your doing is done clean. I like the paint job on pedals too! I can't believe how tight fit it all is, I know, soon as I start assembling I'll know first hand.......Al

Re: Steve's 64 Comet Project
Well it was too cold to work in the garage so I spent the time in my basement doing seats, glass, trim, and drilling the holes in the fenders and bumpers. All the time consuming tasks. So this weekend things went fast lining up the doors, fenders, hood it's looking like a car now! Still don't think I'll make Beaver Springs but who knows.
This job stunk the house up for a few days!
But I got a nice crisp line at the intersection of the scoop instead of a soft radius I think matches the hard lines of the Comet
Cut the floor to install the driveshaft loop. now I can finish up my removable tunnel.
Rebuilt the door hinges. not easy!
Started lining up fenders, doors, and hood
Headlight buckets and fan shroud
First time in 20 years this car sat on it's own tires and suspension!

Well it's looking like a car again, & a damn good lookin one too!
Re: Steve's 64 Comet Project
Nice job Steve, You have gotten things accomplished! That fiberglass work would stink the house up. When its done and RED it will set the front off. Will you have enough room for your grill and latch bracket with the fan and shroud? It must be hard to stay out of the garage now with the car actually sitting on its own after that long. Again great job and keep pushing for FE Reunion, and look forward to hanging out somewhere this summer..........Al
