Your work is magnificent, the underbody custom work is amazing, your building a car like the old coach builders of yesteryear!

Thanks Roy & Albert, I am happy with how its going, I am no body builder just doing it my way, my trade usually causes me to over build things, the best part for me is I am doing it myself so it only costs my time, should be very strong, should handle well, I used 2mm sheet for the floor & they are only usually about 0.9mm, just have to make sure I add enough power to pull the extra weight (I think I have that covered ), it will be a great daily driver. JH, its N/A no gas, its a dart 8.2 302 block bored & stroked to 364, scat crank & rods, AFR heads, solid roller cam, 13:1 comp, genuine Parker Funnelweb intake & 950 HP holley, runs on pump gas, we have 98 octane here, not sure what HP it has never been tested but its enough to have some fun with & has been reliable, its been going for about 5-6 years & hasn`t missed a beat, I drive it everywhere & race it plenty too. Hey John I saw this left footed gas pedal & it got me wondering which foot you guys use down there for gas & clutch?

the pedals are the same, same as all the dash controls, but depends on who does the conversion, I am relocating the hand brake to the right side my preference but when I did my Comet I left it on the left side, the only thing that changes is where you sit.

I drive both over here, my Dad has a 1956 T-Bird which is still LHD, theres always moments that confuse you like when you go to the wrong door to get in & toll gates are interesting throwing the coins through the passenger window, we have a few cars so each one is a bit different & it takes a few miles to find everything, the worst is my wifes modern car, I don`t drive anything new so when I drive it I can never find the wiper switch & headlights etc, don`t know how people drive those things, I will stick with old cars

Ute`s coming along good, I haven`t had a chance to get some more pics, but the floor is finished & wheel tubs are finished, finished the handbrake & on the weekend I got the radiator all mounted & fitted the engine /gearbox so I can start making the exhaust headers etc & make the air cond brackets, racing this weekend so won`t get much done & next weekend I have been invited to put my Merc truck in a concours so have to give it a good detail

the timing cover is an Enderlie fuel injection cover, I have a complete mechanical fuel injection setup, won`t be running it on this car, might put it on my Comet one day

Finally got back to doing some work on the ute, between racing, been making the pipes & making some brackets etc & fitting the turbos wastegates etc, & I finally picked up the hardcover from my friends place, its been about 1 year since Joe picked it up & arranged for it to be sent over here for me, it only took about 4 weeks to come over but I haven`t been able to find a time to pick it up until now, thanks to Ron for sending me some info on fitting it, he has had some experience with that, there are some great guys on this site!! I now have all the engine bits too as my heads have arrived too, heres a few more pics, won`t get too much done over the next month, I have to get the Comet ready for the Aussie drag week, in 4 weeks, travelling to Victoria to spend a week racing over 5 days in 5 towns driving about 1000 miles.
