Ron "Comechero"

Post by Lip Ripper »

I just read on the Falcon page that he passed away, that sucks.

There's nothing like the sound of a pushrod V8 singing at the top of her lung's.

I'm not on Facebook so the link on tffn is no good to me.
Does anyone have any details,,,?
Ron had confided in me via a PM that he had been under a lot of stress lately, hope that wasn't the cause.
I will certainly miss his input, guidance and friendship.

I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

Ron and I didn't always see eye to eye but he was earnest, loved Comets, and almost always tried to help folks. I also hope it wasn't a sudden, otherwise preventable thing...shucks, he was posting up until a few days ago. RIP and Godspeed Ron.

He will be sorely missed. His knowledge, innovation, attention to detail and willingness to share all of it freely were things I valued greatly.

RIP Ron.
Hope his family cares for his truckster like he did. I believe he mentioned his son had a Falcon or Mustang. If it’s true I’m sure the Comet-chero will be ok.

I will be just one of many who will miss him. I think he knew his Comet and Falcons inside and out down to every last nut and bolt. His wealth of knowledge and experience that he shared with us will be sorely missed. RIP Ron.

Sad to hear that Ron passed away. I had my chance to meet him in person at Roy's memorial last year and never was able to that day. Brian

From another forum....cut and pasted...

I talked with the moderator of FFOG today at the Daytona Turkey Run. Ron started not felling well on Tuesday and died of a heart attach on Thursday. Ron's daughter provided the information. Ron's daughter plans on keeping the Comechero.

RIP Ron Sheeder

Thanks for the info BJB, I was looking for confirmation before I said anything. I will miss Ron he was a great asset to our community and I interacted often with him through PM, I considered him (as most here) a friend.
