Re: Calendar?
I'm in for one. I still have the last one hanging. I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

Re: stereo
That is my plan for early summer. I made cardboard patterns and plan to incorporate usb ports and an aux port. I also patterned some new kick plates that can hold a mid and a tweeter. I will post when I complete it.

Re: Anyone used a Cold case brand Radiator
I bought a Cold Case radiator without a fan (they said that they did not have an electric fan to go with it) at Syracuse Nationals year before last and it kept the car cool all last summer. For perspective I live in central New York.

Re: Winter
I hear you on winter. We have already had a layer of salt put down so mine is away for the winter. Regarding the sewing machine make sure you get an industrial machine and not a home machine. I sewed new upholstery for my daughters salon chair last year and used an industrial machine which went nice...

Re: Spongy brakes
It's been a while since I had time to work on comet, two months to be more precise, I found the problem with my brakes. It ends up my left rear drum brake hardware exploded and fell apart. Put everything back together and adjusted the adjuster and the brakes work better than ever. I only wish I coul...

Re: Spongy brakes
Thanks for the ideas. I will check the hoses when I get back home. I'm traveling right now. I will let you know how it turns out.

Re: Spongy brakes
Yep. I bench bled the master cylinder. When I say the brakes are spongy I mean dangerously so to the point where it is not safe to drive. I use dot 3 fluid. I'm not losing fluid and I even took it to a brake shop to have them check my work. I have tried five different shops in my area and I end up d...

Spongy brakes
Help! On July 4 my wife and I took the comet on a four hour drive and it did great until the last half hour when the brakes got spongy. It acted like the master cylinder was bad so I replaced the master cylinder and the brakes are still spongy. They won't even pump up. I have checked for leaks and b...

Re: "Rebel of the Road"
It is great you found a link to that one. It is my all time favorite movie. I have watched it at least a dozen times. As a kid I recorded it on VHS off the TV.

Re: Spark plugs backing out
I have experienced a difficult fit on these plugs when I had cast manifolds. I ended up buying four different spark plug sockets.
Thanks for the tip.

Re: Spark plugs backing out
Thanks Pop. It seemed strange to me but your explanation makes sense. I will start grinding and then check all the plugs again.

Re: Parking brake
I lost a U-joint once and was parked on a hill. I put the car in park and started to get out and the car started moving. OOPS lesson learned. Parking brake is important.

Spark plugs backing out
I checked around the forum to see if others have had this problem and I did not see it. When I took my comet in last winter to have a new exhaust put in I was told that a few of my plugs were loose. I figured I just forgot to tighten them but I was hearing some strange noises yesterday and the plugs...

Engine temp
I am having a strange issue I need some help with. My engine will not warm up. I have a 180 degree thermostat in a mild 289, I drive around and the engine will hardly get over 120. I pulled the thermostat out so I could test it and found it stuck open. It was held open by two small tabs on each side...
