Re: Car Lift and Garage

I've shamelessly stolen and bookmarked a number of ideas from your build thread.

That's what this forum is all about. Getting ideas from other people. Glade you saw something interesting.

Re: Here's a shout out and a knot of the hat to all of us weekend warriors.

I just replaced my ignition switch and getting it out wasn't to bad but putting it back became a real problem. I had to walk away from it and come back the next day. It's just pushing in the back part and turning counter clockwise. Make sure the front bezel doesn't move and that it's in the normal p...

You put a lot of thought into the design of your car Lou. I love the outcome. Thanks for all the pictures.

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)

I made one like the link but used a flat bearing with washers under the nut which made it very easy to turn the nut when the pressure got high from compressing the spring. What I did was weld a big washer to the bottom of the nut which rode on the bearing. Worked great :D

Re: Root's 64 Cyclone Build

If you have the L shaped intermediate motor mounts swapped to the wrong sides it will shift the motor forward about an inch. will also mess up/throw off the z-bar tube angle. Lots of guys make bigger hp use a wide radiator with 2 elec. fans so the w.p. nose goes between them. I bought a wide radiat...

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)

I don't know if you have done this or not but I had a miss I couldn't find. Turned out to be the distributor cap. The electric arch was following carbon tracks in the cap. If you haven't changed it I suggest you do. Not a lot of money either.

Re: Front suspension question/direction

Your set up sounds a lot like mine. I have the Viking coil overs on the front of mine also. I also installed a 1 1/8" sway bar up front and rack and pinion steering. I got some Granada spindles off ebay for disk brakes up front also. Out back I installed my own triangulated 4 link using Viking coil ...

Re: Dan's 65 Cyclone project !

That's a good looking setup and hits the main points for me just like the Chassiworks setup; (1) not a M2, (2) stock towers, (3) coilovers, (4) good adjustable strut rods and (5) LCA camber kit. Nothing against the M2 suspension, just personally don't like the idea of removing the towers. Thanks fo...

If you can put enough tire under it to put the 347 to ground you will hear that T5’s third gear whimpering every time you fire that engine.
Third gear is the weak point of that transmission. Broke the gears off 3 gear and wiped out the cluster gear and a bunch of other gears.
