Re: Front suspension question/direction
Your set up sounds a lot like mine. I have the Viking coil overs on the front of mine also. I also installed a 1 1/8" sway bar up front and rack and pinion steering. I got some Granada spindles off ebay for disk brakes up front also. Out back I installed my own triangulated 4 link using Viking coil ...

Re: Dan's 65 Cyclone project !
That's a good looking setup and hits the main points for me just like the Chassiworks setup; (1) not a M2, (2) stock towers, (3) coilovers, (4) good adjustable strut rods and (5) LCA camber kit. Nothing against the M2 suspension, just personally don't like the idea of removing the towers. Thanks fo...

Re: 62 Comet Manual Conversion Thread
Third gear is the weak point of that transmission. Broke the gears off 3 gear and wiped out the cluster gear and a bunch of other gears.

Re: Headers on my 289 Suggestions?
I have Doug's. Didn't need any hammering but I had to put the headers in the engine bay and wire them in place sort of and then lowered the motor in real slow. It worked good but took a lot of time.

Re: The Wonder of the Generator to Three-wire Alternator Upgrade
You would be better off getting yourself a one wire alternator with a internal voltage regulator. Hook this alternator directly to your battery. Bypass your ammeter and install a voltage gauge. Hook up the voltage gauge so that it has power when the car is on. When the voltage gauge reads 14 volts, ...

Re: Electric Fuel Pump Power Source
Here is another very good crimper that I used for 32 years as an electrician. It's made by Thomas & Betts here in the states. https://i.postimg.cc/6QHj1cT0/IMG-1153.jpg I would also suggest a inertia activated fuel pump cut off switch which is inline with the pump feed wire which cuts off the fuel p...

Re: Gas Pedal
I bought an adjustable aluminum throttle pedal assembly from Speedway Motors which bolts to the firewall and a Lokar throttle cable kit that can be cut to length and connects to your carburetor. I have it connected to a Holley carburetor. It's a hanging pedal. Works great

That is a vent and you just have to run the hose away from the exhaust pipe. I installed a vent with a cap which does not use any hose, but if you plan on running thru creeks then you need the hose
