Problem Solved
I had my Tach out and tach wire under dash was touching ground.
Stupid mistake cost me $100 in not needed parts.

I can get Comet out of garage now and hook up garage door opener. Wife will be happy

I got the winidow back in today by removing more parts from window.
Will write up what I did when I get it adjusted.

I took my right rear quarter window out to replace the rollors & inistall front weather seal. Also got to put a nut on the top trim strip while window was out. Got the SEM 15243 SATIN BLACK COLOR COAT AEROSOL dyed an extra visor I had and the color came out great.

Not going to get into trunk on convertible, no big opening. Try a screwdriver in the lock hole to turn the “catch”

I have a spare visor in rough shape. I will try vinyl dye on it

1963 Comet Convertible
I want to change the color of my sun visors from Blue to Black to match my new interior.
Are the visors Vinyl, molded plastic or some other material?
Any suggestions on what paint/dye to use

This 14 inch wheel came on my 63 Comet when I bought it 2 years ago. The half wrap is peeling and the 3 phillips head screws that hold it on the adapter have damaged heads. I want to buy a new half wrap and the 3 screw but don't know who made the wheel. The 3 screws have a thread I don't recognize. ...

Here are some pictures of a clip & cover/shield that I removed from the car. Don't know if these were stock or aftermarket. I don't see them listed for sale anywhere on the net.

I think I found my problem. There was a lot of dirt inside the moulding under the lips keeping the clip from snapping in. They seem to snap in a lot better after cleaning with a pick. Making the rubber backing out of old rim liner I found.

I think I found my problem. Using the old clips that were on the car. They had a rubber sleeve around them that was in bad shape when I removed them. Put them back without any sleeve or backing. When I squeezed the tabs to lock them in place it let the clips get too tight to the body & the moulding ...

Starting to reattach the moulding to the fenders, doors, and body.
Can't get the moulding to snap over the clips in the square holes. I have tried candle wax on the clips but no help. If I do the clips on the bench they snap right in.
Any secrets to snapping them on

1963 comet convertible
I have a power antenna that I want to remove.
Is there a panel/shield inside the right front fender well that can be removed to get antenna out. So much undercoating I can't see anything.
