My Comet for sale
https://www.hagerty.com/marketplace/classified/1963-Mercury-Comet/7b8254de-5644-47a0-8a54-530924a6ca2b After much deliberation, I've decided to sell my '63 :( If you are unaware, I spent two weeks in ICU in Jan. on a ventilator and almost lost my life. I'm still very weak and my stamina is pooped ou...

Re: what did you do to your comet today?
I wanted to put a few more miles on the car before Wednesday when I am headed to Lebanon, Tennessee for the Triple Crown of Rodding event at the Super Speedway. This will be the longest distance I have driven the car so I want to make sure all systems are go. Safe travels to you, man! I was wonderi...

Re: Six Bolt Toploaders
No big problem w/ T-10, just don't beat on it too hard.
Holds up good for hot rod engines if you run street tires w/ recommended pressure.
Hooking up ain't my bag. Too hard on my wallet!

Re: Auto transport recommendations
I wouldn't recommend contacting an online hookup company.
I'm still receiving spam from a request over a year ago
Call Wesley Hall @ four78four94five233
He's a one-man band based out of Atlanta area.

Hey, Warren!
I'm w/ A/FX Jim on the sedan delivery. That's a sweet little ride!
Used to gravitate toward those type vehicles when I was a part-time musician.
Called those 'gig rigs'.

Re: Six Bolt Toploaders
FYI all new sliders and gears for Toploaders are of the “torque lock” design. Also I’ve seen a bracket selling on eBay that uses the tail housing bolts to locate the bracket about where the stock 63-65 Comet Falcon shifter would be on the forward part of the tail housing. Pretty slick part to conve...

Hey, Joe!
Just wondering out loud (as usual). What are you gauging this on, besides feel? Fuel pressure or A/F meter?

Re: Six Bolt Toploaders
Better to find a cheap Toploader and convert it to close ratio and find an early tail housing with the forward shifter bosses. You're right, no need for any number matching. Finding the tail housing will be the toughest part. I see T-10 tail housings for sale all the time. I think Mustang guys are ...

Maybe this will indear you to the body style https://www.facebook.com/share/r/Dw7kvo7nJPutZYUn/?mibextid=D5vuiz Have an old friend w/ a 429 CJ w/ 460 crank sitting on a stand in his shop. I first ran into it in late 80's in the office of his Pop's airplane hanger when he was putting it together. Pu...

Re: This one followed me home.
Got the D0VE-C 460 built and running a while back. Actually drove it down the road and back a couple times, but the wiring harness is smoked and needs replacing. Getting ready to start installing a Painless harness in it this weekend. Also, stopped and looked at a 73 CJ 351 to possibly put in my 68...

Re: Six Bolt Toploaders
Last year I found an HEH BK trans on eBay with a Hurst shifter. Bought it and yup….it had a 65 Cyclone VIN stamped on the lower flange of the main case. Pretty cool close ratio Hipo Comet trans. It was a pile of poo though. Second gear engagement teeth were wiped clean and I think all the gears and...
